Hyunsung Rho

I’m a Computing Science student at the University of Alberta, and I’ve always had a passion for computers and games. My journey into this world started when I was a kid, completely captivated by the amazing worlds in the games I played. Seeing the impressive systems behind these games made me want to create my own.

Growing up, I ended up far from what I had imagined for my life. I was studying something completely unrelated to computers and games. But then, something hit me, and it brought me back to this path. That’s how I ended up immigrating to Canada.

The whole process and all the changes in my life weren’t easy or romantic. Starting over in a foreign country alone was really tough. But here, I’ve worked hard to build a strong foundation from scratch. As I move forward toward my dream, I see every obstacle in my life as just another problem to solve.
